Mumbai: Mobile and internet have become the need of the hour. In the era of Internet, the world has come closer and information from all over the world is reaching us with a single click. Therefore, the number of mobile phone owners and internet users in the country has increased rapidly in the last 2 years.

 While the number of mobile and internet users is increasing on the one hand, on the other hand, the prices of internet data and recharge from telecom companies are continuously increasing. Jio, which initially offered free SIM cards for mobile phone holders, has now increased its 5G internet and recharge rates by 20 to 25 percent. So, it is going to weigh heavily on Jio customers' pockets.

New unlimited validity plans have been announced by Jio and these plans are being provided to customers along with Jio's 5G service.

According to the new plan, customers will now have to pay Rs 189 if they want to buy 5G unlimited daily 2 GB plan for 28 days. Earlier, customers were charged Rs 155 for the same plan. So, for 56 days 5G unlimited daily 2GB plan, now one has to pay Rs 629. Earlier, 533 was charged for the same plan. So, for 3 months i.e. 84 days of daily 2 GB data, now you have to pay Rs 859. Earlier, the same plan was charging Rs 719.

New rates as per tariff

1. According to the new plan, customers will now have to pay Rs 189 if they want to buy 5G unlimited daily 2 GB plan for 28 days. Earlier, customers were charged Rs 155 for the same plan.

2. 56 days 5G unlimited daily 2GB plan now costs Rs 629. Earlier, 533 was charged for the same plan.

3. For 3 months i.e. 84 days of daily 2GB data now Rs. 859 will be charged. Earlier, the same plan was charging Rs 719.

4. Annual daily 2.5 GB plan was earlier charged at Rs 2999. Now, as per the new tariff, the annual daily 2.5 GB plan will be charged at Rs 3599.
